SAVE THE DATE - Visit to the Dáil Éireann

'Women - Champions of Peacebuilding' discussions and networking event on Wednesday 18 September

All Next Chapter project participants are invited to visit the Dáil Éireann on Wednesday 18 September 2019 for an opportunity to meet with other Chapter members from across NI and the border counties of the Republic of Ireland as well as members of the Irish Parliamentary Women’s Caucus for 'Women as Champions of Peacebuilding' discussions and networking.
The Next Chapter Team are currently planning the trip and invitations will be issued to all Next Chapter participants in early August.

Earlier this year over 100 women from The Next Chapter project were joined by Members of the Northern Ireland Assembly Women’s Caucus at an event in Parliament Buildings, Stormont. The day focused on the importance of women leading on the journey from conflict to community co-operation and delivering positive change on issues including good relations and gender equality.

The Next Chapter is a project aimed at building positive relations between women from different communities and backgrounds and addressing the gender inequality which still exists in community, public and political representation.

The Next Chapter is funded by the Special EU Programmes Body through the EU’s PEACE IV Programme. Match-funding for The Next Chapter project is provided by the Executive Office in Northern Ireland and the Department of Rural and Community Development in Ireland.
