Learn to communicate with IMPACT

Module Four of The Next Chapter Training Programme launches in May

COMMUNICATING WITH IMPACT - A one day Media Skills course together with a half day Crisis Communications

This training will cover all aspects of handling the media and participating in interviews including how to influence the direction of an interview and dealing with sensitive issues.

Day 1 - Media Skills

This full day media skills workshop, delivered by Channel56, is specifically tailored to prepare women for engagement with the media and how to get their message across. The day will simulate radio and TV interviews in a ‘safe space’ and share tips and advice on the best strategies to deploy. This practical method of training allows trainers to focus on individual needs and enables the participant to give clear, effective and confident interviews and get their key messages across in a more engaging and dynamic manner. The approach is supportive and constructive and we will take you carefully through the media maze.

Day 2 - Crisis Communications

This crisis communications half day workshop will help you understand that good communications in a crisis situation do not happen by accident but by good planning. Channel56 trainers will help you protect your reputation and minimise potential damage. Remember a crisis well-handled can enhance your reputation!

The workshop will focus on covering key message development and handling difficult questions. Together we will prepare a ‘Holding Statement’, introduce you to the 3 ‘Cs’, practice a holding TV interview and organise a Press Conference.
